Description

This beautiful thatched cottage has stunning views of Croyde Bay and a completely separate self-contained annexe adjacent. Great thought has gone into making Cock Rock Cottage a perfect holiday home.  The spacious living room has delightful dual aspect sea views, beamed ceilings and a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. Comfy seating with matching furnishings, white washed walls and carefully chosen accessories have created a warm and welcoming room in which to relax. The cottage-style kitchen/breakfast room has a tiled slate floor, granite work surfaces and Shaker-style units whilst the dining area creates a social environment during food preparation and is ideal for discussing the day’s adventures over a delicious home cooked meal.  Also on the ground floor is the family shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Both bedrooms are on the first floor with the double capturing superb views of the beach and sea beyond, whilst the twin room looks to the front. 

Outside Cock Rock Cottage is situated in a very private location behind tall wooden gates and the large driveway with ample parking space for several cars. A short walk down a path near the cottage will take you to the beach – famed for being one of the finest surfing beaches in the country.  Outside there is a warm shower, a wet suit drying rail and a barbecue area with picnic tables and benches ideal for alfresco meals whilst enjoying views over the bay.

The spacious self-contained annexe has a beamed vaulted ceiling and a style very similar to the main house. There is a comfy living area with flat screen HD TV and freeview and is separated from the bedroom by a curtain. A choice of either twin beds or a zip ‘n’ link to super king is available on request.  Tea and coffee making facilities are provided along with a fridge. There is also a separate shower room with utility area.

The village of Croyde is a level 10 minutes’ walk and here you will find a choice of family friendly pubs and restaurants alongside surf schools and beach shops.
