Description

The Old School House is a perfect hideaway for couples or a small family looking for somewhere peaceful to escape their normally busy lives.  This stylish apartment is attached yet secluded from the main family house with its own entrance, garden and parking.  The open plan interior of the Old School House is vaulted and beamed and has now been carefully transformed into a spacious and light filled apartment with huge windows opening onto the garden. There is an impressive inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove for curling up in front of and the bedroom is on the galleried mezzanine floor, perfect for lazy mornings.  It is located in the heart of the pretty village of Northiam, opposite the church with a bakery/cafe right on your doorstep, daily shopping and a few good pubs located within a mile.  There are many local places of interest including Great Dixter House and Gardens which is an easy stroll away or the ancient ruins of Bodiam Castle.  Tenterden and historic Rye are only a short drive away as is Camber sands with its 7 miles of glorious beach and sand dunes.  Both towns offer a good range of shops, cafes and restaurants with Tenterden being a boarding point for the Kent and East Sussex Railway. This is a great location for relaxing and walking in the stunning 1066 countryside or exploring the nearby coastline.
