Description
From the moment you arrive at St Docwin you know you will be staying somewhere truly magical. The setting, the attention to detail, the history and the beautiful finishes all combine to provide a home full of surprises and charm. This is the perfect place for family gatherings or a break out of season. Converted from a former chapel built in 1821 the main living room and kitchen have high beamed ceilings, stone walls and slate floors and the use of reclaimed wood and stone in the remainder of the modern addition tie the whole together beautifully. A games room with a woodburner, TV and 6ft pool table with Tri folding doors to a barbecue area, plus a TV, Blu-ray DVD player and 2 large FAT BOY bean bags on the landing of the main house is sure to keep everybody amused and happy.
St Docwin has the bonus of some impressive eco credential features as well; solar thermal, PV panels and ground source heat pump. Trequite is a small hamlet a short distance away from the delights of the North Cornwall Coast; only 10 minutes' walk from the award winning St Kew Inn and only a 10 minute drive from Port Isaac, where Michelin Star chef Nathan Outlaw has opened his second Fish Kitchen and the set and sights of ITV show Doc Martin can be found. The fabulous beaches at Rock and Polzeath are only a 15 minute drive away, the historic fishing port of Padstow is a further 10 minute drive.

Location
The pretty fishing village of Port Isaac is located along a stretch of coastline that runs from Pentire Point (just north of Polzeath), to Widemouth Bay, near Bude, and is one of many Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Cornwall. The port is surrounded by several other villages including Port Gaverne, Port Quin, St Minver, St Kew and the charmingly-named Chapel Amble. It is well-supplied with places to eat, including The Golden Lion pub, The Mote fish restaurant, and Outlaw's Fish Kitchen, run by Nathan Outlaw (who also has another restaurant in nearby Rock). The surrounding area is also well provided with traditional country pubs serving an excellent variety of food, including The Maltsters at Chapel Amble, The Red Lion Inn at St Kew Highway, and the St Kew Inn. Being close to the sea means you are also within easy reach of many maritime pursuits such as sailing and fishing, and can participate in a wide variety of water-sports including surfing at nearby Polzeath beach, kayaking, stand-up paddle-boarding, and coasteering. If you prefer a more peaceful, laid-back holiday, you can always sit in a tea room and admire the spectacular scenery, or indulge in a spot of wildlife watching.
