Podgy Paws

It’s fantastic to be able to go away with your pet and here at Original Cottages we love dogs. Here’s my two, yes one has boots on, they love walking the fells and enjoying a roaring fire at a pub after a long walk, well we may enjoy the pub bit more than them. The majority of our Lake District cottages are dog friendly and are located in the Heart of the lake district and just a stone’s throw from the Langdale Pikes, the iconic mountain range.

If you don’t fancy doing a walk every day, why not head over to Keswick, the town has been voted the UK’s most dog friendly town and has a fantastic pet shop, Podgy Paws as well as many other dog friendly shops, cafes and pubs.

Podgy Paws has a wide range of dog treats, toys, accessories and food. My dogs love going in and sniffing at the toys and trying to get their paws on the bones that are strategically placed on the floor.
