Coastal Cottages in Wales
If you’re looking for drama, breathtaking views, wild and varied marine life and a land rich with intrigue, then the Welsh coast just has to be it.
Nominated by Lonely Planet as the world’s top region to visit after the Wales Coastal Path opened, and with a handful of award winning beaches to boast, it’s no wonder people return here year after year.
The 870 mile long coastline (1,400 kilometers) runs from Queensferry in the North to Chepstow in the South and is a magnet for walkers both novice and experienced. With so much to see here, you need longer than just a day or two, which is where we come in.
Our coastal cottages are characterful and varied, just like the lovely people of Wales. We have modern apartments overlooking the sandy beach at Tenby, one of the prettiest seaside resorts in Wales awarded Silver by the British Travel Awards. Or for those who value the true meaning of traditional, a stay in a former shepherd's cottage built from local stone, with sea views to the West and rolling green hills inland to the East, will surely be enough to satisfy your hunger.
Don’t forget that in Wales dogs go free, so bring your waggy tailed friend along with you on holiday to the Welsh coast. We’re sure he’ll enjoy scampering in and out of the rockpools at Dunraven Bay in Llantwit Major and Newport Parrog Beach in Pembrokeshire, or running flat out across the sandy beach of Benllech on Anglesey.
We welcome families here too, large and small, and have cottages to suit toddlers and younger (with baby equipment available to make your holiday as easy as possible), or big family groups of 8 or more, where you can spread out and soak up your coastal surroundings.
Fancy doing a little sightseeing? Well, there are several incredible castles positioned within view of the sea that are well worth a visit. Our favourites are Conwy Castle on the edge of Snowdonia and one of the largest in Britain, Caerphilly Castle. If the ancient dwelling places of past kings isn’t really your thing, turn your attention to the sights of the sea with a trip out to open water, just off Cardigan Bay, to glimpse the resident Bottlenose dolphins.
So what are you waiting for? Book your next trip to Wales today and experience life by the sea, or give us a call on 0333 2020 899 for help and recommendations.
