Cottages in North East Wales
With so much natural beauty to engulf yourself in, why wouldn’t you be interested in visiting this fantastic part of the world?
The astounding landscape of North East Wales is dotted with the remains of Iron Age hill forts, surrounded by woodland, heather-covered heaths and, of course, the valleys. This area once held host to unbelievable battles, where ancient castles still remain. Fascinating routes can still be explored today, be it on foot, by bicycle, on horseback or even by canal boat, treating you to a step back in time.
One thing that's not to be missed is the cast iron aqueduct at Pontcysyllte; the world’s tallest canal boat crossing that sits on 19 pillars, over 100 feet tall, high above the River Dee. From one waterway to another, the rugged Welsh coastline is worth a visit and the best thing is that it’s completely free! Of course, you shouldn’t resist an ice cream cone on the beach and a paddle in some rock pools abundant with wildlife and ideal for exploring.
Within this area we have barn conversions with exposed stonework and cosy log burners, traditional Welsh cottages set in tranquil valley villages and enchanting period country homes with extensive grounds and so much more.
