Cottages in Lyme Regis and Charmouth
Stroll along the promenade at Lyme Regis, enjoying tea and cake in one of the little cafes, and the fabulous view across Lyme Bay, all the way along to the Cobb, made famous by the film ‘A French Lieutenants Woman’, and more recently ‘Far from the Madding Crowd’. The picture perfect harbour is always busy with the boat academy, sailing school, and locals bringing in the catch of the day. The town itself is filled with quirky shops, and little lanes that wind around the town, past streams and mills.
Full of character, Charmouth is a pretty seaside village, approximately three miles from Lyme Regis. Home of the world famous fossil beach. The very popular beach tours can be booked from the Heritage Centre, and help you on your way to finding your own dinosaur!
