Cottages in East Devon

East Devon is a unique and scenic part of Devon, perhaps best known for its ancient Jurassic Coast. People keen to visit the area will be pleased to know that we offer some of our most diverse and interesting holiday cottages across East Devon, in locations such as Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Seaton.

Included in our East Devon portfolio are a range of eco-friendly homes, in and amongst a collection of more traditional holiday cottages, including converted historic buildings, thatched cottages and modern apartments. Our contemporary homes in East Devon often blend eco-aware and conservational building materials, resulting in exciting holiday homes that combine the best modern conveniences with genuinely traditional design.

Aside from design, however, our East Devon holiday cottages also offer the much sought-after attributes of being dog-friendly, boasting amazing sea views and also being part of our luxury cottages collection.

Things to Do in East Devon

The majority of our East Devon cottages fall within the bounds of the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. East Devon is also part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site, a 95 mile stretch of coast running from Exmouth in Devon, to Swanage in Dorset. A holiday in East Devon puts you in prime location from which to explore Dorset too and you can incorporate two holiday locations in one.

Beer is one of East Devon’s most popular coastal spots and the place where you’ll find one of the Jurassic Coast’s most marvellous features. Underneath the town there’s a secret, underground past in the form of Beer Quarry Caves, where world famous Beer stone was mined for hundreds of years. There is also lovely beach and there are plenty of eateries serving the fresh local fish that is caught every day by Beer’s remaining fishing fleets.

For more Jurassic Coast action, head to Seaton, where you’ll find Seaton Hole, a hotspot for fossil hunters. Seaton also has a thriving art community and is home to lots of arts and crafts shops and stalls, including galleries and jewellery makers.

Branscombe is known for its thatched properties and these special roofs dot the landscape, a few of which are our holiday cottages. A small, rural community with a beach and beautiful green countryside surrounding it, Branscombe is perfect for a detox break.

Sidmouth is perfect for a family seaside holiday. This traditional seaside resort town has some stunning Regency era architecture and is surrounded by stunning countryside, perfect for dog walks. For a tasty treat, head to Taste of Sidmouth, which is famed across the region for its scrumptious ice cream selection.
