But why should you choose a holiday in Lympstone? Well, Lympstone offers a perfect balance in the sense that it is remote enough to be quieter than some of the other seaside resorts in South Devon, but still has plenty of things to do.  

Lympstone is located on the banks of the River Exe estuary and has a beautiful viewing point located at local hiking spot, The Rag. Just down the road from The Globe pub, The Rag is the perfect place to have a ramble and take in the stunning views of the river – if you’re into your photography, we definitely recommend bringing a camera! 

With bucket loads of beaches a short distance from the village, Lympstone visitors can look forward to many beach days during their holiday. Lympstone is also unique in that it is located near to a great number of dog-friendly beaches, including Ness Cove beach near Shaldon, Teignmouth River beach and Dawlish Warren beach. 

When it comes to food and drink, Lympstone has a great selection of eateries, but if you’re after a truly special dining experience, head to Lymsptone Manor, where the menu has been crafted by Michelin star chef, Micheal Caines.
