Bring your beloved dog to Brighton!

Brighton is a truly dog-friendly city, so don’t be afraid to bring your pup with you on your holiday break to the seaside. There are hundreds of places to eat and drink in Brighton, and many of them allow access to non-humans! The city is also surrounded by beautiful places to enjoy with your dog, so Brighton is the perfect destination for you and your pet.

Walking in Brighton:
What better excuse to enjoy the Brighton beaches than to go on a long dog walk. Dogs are allowed on all beaches in Brighton and Hove, except from 1 May to 30 September where access is restricted. Even so, there are plenty of dog-friendly beaches during the busy summer months (watch out for the signs at each beach), and dogs are welcome on the upper and lower promenade all year round – just make sure they are on the lead!

If you are looking for somewhere a bit more serene, there are plenty of other areas slightly further afield to enjoy with your dog. Preston Park and Stanmer Park make for a great place for dogs to explore, and don’t forget that Brighton is surrounded by the beautiful South Downs which will be loved by owners and pets alike!

Eating and drinking in Brighton:
There are loads of food and drink places in Brighton that open their doors and welcome your four-legged friends. Unsurprisingly, The Laughing Dog, an art gallery/café, and The Ginger Dog, a modern gastropub, are more than welcoming to dogs. The Hangleton Manor is a stunning pub/restaurant just outside the city centre with a large garden perfect for dogs.

Something a bit different:
Brighton is known for being unusual and quirky, and this doesn’t just apply to humans as there are plenty of offbeat activities to enjoy with your dog. Metrodeco is a 1930s Parisian themed tea room which serves gourmet dog treats and even throws doggie tea parties!
